Educating Pinterest's audiences

Content Enablement (CE) is a team within the larger Global Content Organization at Pinterest. I joined them in 2024 to help turn data, product features and analytics into compelling learning materials their educational curriculum.

Presentation design

Presentation design is more than just making slides pretty—it’s a powerful tool for communication, persuasion, and education. At Pinterest, I supported my team by transforming complex information into clear, engaging, and visually compelling presentations. My work ensures that key stakeholders—ranging from creators and advertisers to internal leadership—can quickly understand and act on critical insights.

“Crystal and I collaborated closely to transform our team’s marketing materials—including decks, one pagers, ads and emails—into comprehensible and beautiful content that educated and inspired the vast creator audience on Pinterest.”

House ads

House ads serve as a key vehicle for engaging, educating, and inspiring platform users—from creators and advertisers to everyday Pinners. These internally driven campaigns appear natively across Pinterest’s ecosystem, seamlessly blending into the feed while delivering strategic messaging about new features, best practices, and opportunities to grow on the platform.

As the lead designer for multiple house ad sets, I crafted visually compelling creative assets that not only adhered to Pinterest’s 2024 brand guidelines but also resonated with our diverse audience segments. My work ensured that every ad was both scroll-stopping and informative, effectively driving awareness and action.

Email design

Merchants on Pinterest need a visually intuitive and seamless experience to navigate the platform’s tools effectively. While our original email series contained valuable information, the design needed to better support readability and engagement. The layouts felt visually busy, and the color palette was overwhelming, making it harder for new merchants and creators to quickly grasp key insights.

By scaling back excess color, reducing visual clutter, and refining the layout, we transformed these emails into a polished, digestible, and aesthetically engaging series. The result? A design that felt more welcoming, professional, and intuitive while maintaining Pinterest’s signature look and feel.
